Sheridan College

Advertising - Account Managment

During my time in the Advertising-Account Management graduate program at Sheridan College in Mississauga, Canada, I developed a strong foundation for creating comprehensive digital and traditional advertising and marketing communications campaigns. Through rigorous coursework, I honed my ability to set clear business objectives, conduct thorough target audience research, and understand the nuances of consumer behavior. Utilizing industry-standard software, I learned to craft integrated advertising campaigns that seamlessly blend traditional, digital, and social media strategies. This program equipped me with essential skills, including professional campaign pitching, brand identity communication, social media management, and creative advertising design. The projects showcased below highlight my ability to produce high-quality, research-driven creative work, demonstrating my readiness to contribute effectively to any advertising agency or marketing department.

Sheridan Student Union

Our team devised an extensive Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) campaign strategy for the Sheridan Student Union (SSU), with the primary objective of enhancing engagement with their services, particularly targeting new international students. The campaign is designed to tackle the challenge of effectively introducing these students to the SSU and ensuring continuous communication throughout their student journey. Our project encompassed several key components, The first part of the planning process included analyzing the client brief, meeting with the client, conducting research analysis, and developing a consumer analysis and sketch. We further elaborated on our creative strategy by developing a detailed creative brief, followed by the creation of visual mockups and video production. The culmination of our efforts was a comprehensive client pitch presentation, where we presented our strategies, creative concepts, and proposed solutions to the client.

TRESSemmé

This project was an exercise in crisis management for the haircare brand TRESemmé, inspired by a real crisis the brand faced in South Africa in 2020. They had published a racist ad on their website that suggested natural African hair was «bad» while Caucasian hair was «good.» My team and I developed two potential campaigns to help the brand restore its image. The chosen campaign, was «Textures of Unity, Where Strong Strands Unite in Beauty.» This inclusive haircare campaign celebrates the strength of women coming together. Here, «strength» has a double meaning: it refers to both the resilience of women and the strong, healthy hair of all types that use TRESemmé shampoo. Visually, this strength is represented by a mixed-texture braid, symbolizing unity and diversity.

OIKOS BONDS

My team and I developed an Integrated Marketing Communications Strategy for OIKOS Greek Yogurt. The client brief specified the need for a plan to leverage their unique competitive edge, interact with a changing market, and attract a younger audience. The objective was to reinforce their position as the leading yogurt brand, enhance brand loyalty and engagement, and grow market share by 5 points. After a thorough market and brand analysis, we created the OIKOS BONDS campaign. This campaign is based on the concept that cooking and making family recipes bring families of all backgrounds together. While Greek yogurt can be a delicious snack on its own, we concluded that promoting it as an ingredient for large family meals could increase sales and market share in the competitive Canadian yogurt market. This IMC campaign includes contests, brand activations, events, OOH advertising, and a comprehensive social media strategy.

NiKON

This individual project involved developing three distinct creative concepts tailored to three different client segments for the Nikon brand. The target audiences were a professional photographer, an amateur photographer or videographer, and a tourist or traveler. For each consumer segment, I devised a unique creative concept and selected an appropriate format to effectively reach them. Crafting compelling copy was a key component of this project, ensuring that each concept resonated with its respective audience. Additionally, this project highlights my design skills, as I edited all final products using a combination of Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
